Be Thankful

Be thankful.

In the world we live in, this is hard. Everyday people proclaim; "YOU ARE OPPRESSED! YOU ARE POOR! YOU ARE NOT PREVILDGED!" If you turn on your favorite mainstream news station, they are probably running a story on how America sucks and you're stuck in it. Go ahead, check it.

Be thankful.

The first thing to admit is that this world is imperfect, yes of course! Things are wrong in this world and there will always be things wrong. The idea anything can change the human condition in this regard is a fallacy. Do not, however, use these imperfections as the measurement for how well off you have it.

Be thankful.

Start your day this Thursday by counting your blessings, individually. Think about each one, dwell on it; it can be your parents, house, job, spouse, school, car, clothes, heating, food, lighting, electricity, bed(or etc. etc. etc.) and realize that there are people who do not have that luxury. Even going beyond material items and relationships, you live in a country that allows you to get on the internet every day and complain about whatever is on your mind. You have the privilege to speak your mind without fear of being locked away(I encourage my Christian brothers and sisters to think about this every Sunday).

Be thankful.

There is so much out there that humans should be thankful for. When was the last time you were thankful you could read? Or drink clean water? Just some questions for you to take with you. I am not saying this world is perfect, but I am pleading with you to take one step back from the ongoing outrage and see your blessings. That way you can...

Be thankful.
